PRODEGY: No negative recessive genes. Above average
good temperament, conformation, intelligence, longevity, soundness,
vitality, health, human affection/spirituality, and above average gaits.
WARRANTIES, IF ANY: We guarantee a live,
standing, healthy foal to mares under age 18 with A-1 reproductive
system) or rebreed the following year to alternate mare of your choice.
STUD FEE / BID INFO: 20-year Standard Stud Fee is
$1500.
BOOKING FEES, OTHER COSTS TO MARE OWNER: Mare owners
pay $250 booking fee, veterinarian collection costs and shipping costs
(approximately $170 per insemination).
EXCLUSIONS, SUCH AS LOCAL STATE AREAS, BREEDS, TYPES: None,
except mares over 18 years of age without a veterinarian exam confirming
a healthy reproductive system.
BREEDING TRACK RECORD: Average success rate for
cooled shipped semen (Hamilton Equitainer) for mares under 18 years of
age is 1.8 heat cycles. His semen ships well and on time in a
professional manner.
SHIPPED SEMEN REQUIREMENTS: 48 hours advance notice
via telephone. Shipment via FEDEX or AIR TRANSPORTATION in Hamilton
Equitainer ($100 refundable deposit for Equitainer). Mare owner must have
teaser stallion or veterinarian assistance (please, no guessing as to
heat cycle, predicted ovulation).
LIVE COVERS: Live covers only to Lipizzan mares.
Boarding is $8.00 per day. Shoes must be removed, and authorization given
for administration of tranquilizer (Acepromizone), if necessary. Smokey
is a romantic, gentleman breeder -- no injuries to the mare are ever
inflicted by him.
GENERAL INFO: Maestoso II Sabrina aka
"Smokey" has, over the past 20 years, more than 100 Lipizzan
and Half-Lipizzans on the ground, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren,
all above average as Lipizzans and just "plain horse" with
happy, un-disappointed owners.
